How are my transfer credits evaluated?

Transfer Credit Evaluation

The Transfer Credit Unit reviews course descriptions from the university or college undergraduate catalog. The system shows how credit from other institutions will transfer to ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆÁ. When a course at your previous institution matches a ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆÁ course, we assign that course a ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆÁ equivalent course number. Courses that do not have a direct equivalent, but are accepted by ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆÁ, will be marked as accepted transfer courses (or open credit).

Appeals

Students who transfer credits to ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆÁ from a West Virginia institution may appeal decisions on how credits were evaluated within one semester of transfer. Please review the of undergraduate course catalog for appeal instructions.
